Cottage & Ceramics in Spain

A MEDITERRANEAN JEWEL, MASIA ALBADAS

A very special and magical place in the south of Spain located at the heart of Spanish ceramics district and 15 minutes from the home based pottery of Simon Leach, grandson of Bernard Leach. Although it is not a collaboration between us, Simon is often happy for visiting potters to share his workshop at a nominal fee. Pottery enthusiasts would do well to book a week at Masia Albadas and practice pottery with Simon Leach. Or just go for a fabulous holiday....

The area is a paradise of sunshine, mountains, wild thyme and rosemary, beaches and crafts. Staying in this 100 year old farm house is a mystic experience and the majestic surroundings are unsurpassed for natural beauty . The cottage is located near the Mediterranean coast between Barcelona and Valencia in the mountainous interior of non-touristic Castellon province It is typically Mediterranean with almond and olive trees in abundance. The coast is approximately 35 minutes drive and offers both developed and secluded beaches . Although isolated in feeling, the house is only approximately 250 meters from a main arterial road; shops and restaurants can be reached easily within five minutes by car.

Masia Albadas is entered from a rock patio and consists of two floors. On the ground floor are located sitting room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and master bedroom cooled by a ceiling fan. The second bedroom is upstairs and has one double bed , a single bed and a spectacular view from the window! There is an open fireplace and television in the sitting room. Cooking can be done in the well equipped kitchen or on a Bar-B-Q at the patio.
